I can't believe the weather. Normally January is cold but this one has been the coldest in 9 years and we have have more snow than usual. Thank the gods for a reliable furnace, blankets, dogs that like to cuddle and wool.
I have been diligently working on my Post War Mittens. I got the first one done up to where we have to be for class on Thursday and I started the second one. Being a texture girl, I never thought I'd like color-work so much.
I must say these are moving along faster than I thought they would and the color changes keep it interesting.
I also found these photos from the last class I took at culinary school. I am just adding them in because I am proud of my beautiful pasta.
Tortellini stuffed with cheese and spinach
Butternut squash anglonoti - Which my food fearful sister asks for more of!
Spinach Gnocci very light and airy. This pasta class made me realize I missed my calling as an old Italian grandma.
